The purpose of the Student Volunteer Program is to encourage students to participate in musical activities in the community.  Students may use this experience for Career Prep volunteer hours in high school.

 

ELIGIBILITY

students must be of age 14 or over studying music at any level with a member of BCRMTA Vancouver branch.

 

APPLICATION

students must complete the Student Volunteer Application Form  [.doc]  [.pdf] and submit it to the SPG committee by mail or by delivery to 

3896 Cambridge Street, Burnaby, B.C., V5C 1G3 or by e-mail to tonimeyer@hotmail.com on or before October 4, 2009, Sunday.

students must indicate clearly on the form what duty they would like to perform.

students must be responsible and accountable. Should a student cannot attend any assigned duty, please contact the Student Volunteer Co-ordinator or the Festival chair as soon as possible.

students must be punctual and dress appropriately.

students will be contacted by the Student Volunteer Co-ordinator on the first week of November.

students must complete the Record Sheet with the signature of attending SPG Committee member and that of the music teacher.  All Record sheets need to be submitted to the Chair of the SPG festival before the start of the Honour Recital.  Certificates will be awarded to all volunteers at the end of the last Honour Recital on December 6, 2009.

AWARDS

 

All student volunteers will receive a Certificate of Participation stating the number of hours they have participated.
