Why become a Member? 

The Vancouver Branch Registered Music Teachers' Association is part of a Canada-wide federation of more than 3,200 private music teachers, committed to professionalism and a high level of training. Prospective members of the Association must hold a degree or diploma from a recognized university or conservatory, or meet the necessary qualifications set down by the registering province. The provincial association is affiliated with the national association, the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Associations (CFMTA).

The Vancouver Branch Registered Music Teachers' Association encourages the highest calibre of music education possible and promotes high standards of music in the community.

Membership is open to: 

Members must be residents of British Columbia, be a least 18 years of age and pay official fees to the treasurer of BCRMTA.

How to Apply for Membership 

For Membership, please visit the provincial website www.bcrmta.bc.ca to get the application form. At the top menu, select Membership and click "Join
us". Then select "Vancouver" branch if you want to join Vancouver Branch. Then click the box "Join Us" near the top. You will see the application form
and procedure
. Follow the instruction and send the required document and cheques. You will be notified if your application is accepted.
