Janina Fialkowska - Concert in Vancouver

Presented by The Vancouver Chopin Society, the second concert of 2011-2012 season

Where: Magee Theatre, 6360 Maple Street (at W 49th Ave), Vancouver BC

She is going to perform repertoires from Schubert, Lizst and Chopin for the concert. We are very lucky to invite Ms. Fialkowska to conduct a piano master class for our advanced level students.

VSO Tickets for $15 to all BCRMTA Members!

The Vancouver Symphony Society partners with the BCRMTA in an effort to enhance the value of BCRMTA membership and to show its appreciation for the important work done by music teachers. 2 weeks prior to any concert of the upcoming season, Vancouver branch members with a valid membership card will be allowed to purchase VSO tickets for $15. A member may also purchase one guest ticket at 50% off the regular price. The tickets will be for any section except dress circle. This relates to regular subscription concerts only, not concerts listed in the VSO brochure or website as "special" concerts.
The VSO season schedule can be viewed at http://www.vancouversymphony.ca, and don't forget, your students can sign up online for the VSO's Access Pass, which will allow them to purchase tickets for $10.

Community Service Award

In order to encourage students to take their music out into the community, students of any age or level of music study, studying with a B. C. Registered Music Teacher, are eligible to participate in this community service award scheme. See Details ...

Children’s Arts Tax Credit

The Canada Revenue Agency has given a tax incentive for children to take music lessons. Children’s Arts Tax Credit allows the claiming of eligible expenses of up to $500 per year per child for children under 16. The credit applies to regular weekly lessons of at least 8 consecutive weeks. Eligible expenses include lessons and instrument rentals.
